Dental Practice Manager

A management opportunity has become available at our Private, Director led Dental/medical Clinic in Newry.

Ideally applicants should have previous experience in management within the private healthcare sector.

Knowledge of the everyday running of clinics in various dental fields , progressive business development aswell and effective use of KPIs to ensure financial efficiency and growth will provide the competency level required to fulfill this role.

Team management and recruitment of both staff and clinicians is an essential part of this position.

Ability to plan and delegate tasks to appropriately trained staff , with monthly progress reviews and presentation of aims, objectives and outcomes to the director.

Planned Project development includes further expansion into additional fields. Hence, exceptional interpersonal skills, with a proactive and professional attitude, will successfully enable applicants to accomplish the tasks that this role involves.

Management of a team of administration staff and nurses with supporting clinicians. The Candidate

The ideal candidate will promote our culture and our ethos towards patient care. The Manager will lead the team to deliver its’ goals, ensuring that we provide our patients with a high-quality service.

However, applicants with managerial experience outside of a dental/ medical environment will also be considered and candidates offering significant business managerial experience in alternative sectors will be considered

The Role

Day to day management of this clinic in a fast-paced environment, that requires a friendly and professional approach.

Leadership of full team to include: Rotas, Staff appraisals and records responsibility for personal development of all.

Supporting the clinical team to deliver objectives.

Maintain all practice documentation up to date, including policies, procedures and handbooks to meet current guidelines.

Ensure practice compliance with all Health and Safety requirements

Responsibility for all aspects of RQIA and be confident to present and deliver detailed requests by an inspector. Planning and sharing a task list/protocol for the managerial roles on a daily , weekly, monthly and quarterly time schedule. Consideration to share and support an assistant manager securing management representation at all times .

Review and analyse systems and update according to requirements for the advancement and efficient running of the Clinic.

Provide communication between administration, nursing and dental staff for the benefits of patient care coordination.

Promoting a team environment and culture that is committed to executing a first-class service to our patients. Consideration and implementation of staff bonus incentive schemes to positively deliver financial efficiency.

Building good working relationships across the team.

HR capabilities in the role of recruitment and interviewing, induction training and staff planning.
