Management of a team of administration staff and nurses with supporting clinicians. The Candidate
As a Patient Care Manager at South Down Dental & Implant Clinic, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring our patients receive exceptional care and service throughout their dental journey. You will lead a team dedicated to creating “wow” experiences for our patients, nurturing a positive environment, and upholding our commitment to excellence in dental care. Your responsibilities encompass a wide range of patient-focused and administrative tasks, contributing to the overall success of our practice.
Key Responsibilities:
- Exceptional Customer Service: Provide outstanding customer service to all patients at all times, ensuring their needs and concerns are addressed promptly and professionally.
- System Implementation and Improvement: Follow practice systems diligently and actively participate in the implementation and improvement of these systems to enhance patient care and practice efficiency.
- Team Collaboration: Foster a collaborative team environment by maintaining open communication and sharing insights and knowledge with colleagues.
- New Patient Consultations: Conduct initial and free consultations for new patients, including gathering medical history, setting long-term goals, and establishing rapport.
- Treatment Presentation: Present treatment options effectively, including discussing unique selling points, financial considerations, and utilizing visual aids and before-and-after photographs to illustrate solutions.
- Diary Management: Manage your appointment diary efficiently to ensure timely appointments for patients.
- Objection Handling: Address patient objections related to treatment, finances, decision-making, time, and anxiety, guiding them through the follow-up process if needed.
- Follow-Up: Follow up with patients who have not proceeded with treatment options, providing additional information and support as required.
- Options Meetings: Conduct options meetings with patients as prescribed by clinical instructions, explaining benefits and answering clinical questions.
- Administrative Tasks: Handle administrative responsibilities such as scheduling new patient appointments, confirming financial arrangements, and processing credit applications.
- Consent and Documentation: Assist in obtaining patient consents and estimates, ensuring accurate documentation in clinical notes.
- Presentation Preparation: Prepare presentation documents using various tools and materials to help patients understand and choose suitable treatment options.
- Patient Support: Assist patients throughout their treatment journey, addressing any questions or concerns they may have.
- Practice Promotion: Engage in marketing activities and networking to promote the practice and attract new patients.
- Performance Tracking: Monitor and track performance indicators, providing regular feedback to the dental team.
- Training: Identify training needs within the team and assist in training team members as required.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to all UK regulations, including confidentiality and consent processes.
- Final Review Appointments: Schedule final review appointments, prepare celebration materials, and collect patient testimonials and referrals.
- Commitment to Vision: Align with the practice’s vision and brand message, delivering exceptional customer service that generates referrals.
- RQIA Lead: Oversee compliance with RQIA requirements, maintain up-to-date records, conduct audits, and represent the practice during inspections.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a patient care management or similar role preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of dental terminology and procedures is an advantage
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint
- Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities
- Commitment to delivering exceptional patient care
Full time : Monday to Friday – 8:30am – 5:30pm
